An Eco-Mission retreat focuses on the precious gift of God’s Creation and our responsibility as a Christian people to be good stewards.
The word ‘Eco’ means ‘home’ and refers to our home, the Earth. This Eco-Mission will promote personal ecological responsibility by deepening our awareness and wonder at the beauty of God’s Creation.
Religion and science have warned world leaders as far back as 1979 that we stand ‘on the edge of an abyss’ if we do not change our attitudes of abuse and selfishness toward our use of resources on our planet. It is time to address this issue seriously as a people of faith. The Eco-Mission is an effort to respond to each person’s ‘ecological vocation’ in regards to our Earth.
